
The meeting between the members from the UTGSU and the CMD was described as "a significant step towards fostering collaboration and partnerships between the Union and EFSTH, particularly in the areas of community health initiatives, menstrual health education, and blood donation drives."
This falls under the broader duties of the UTGSU, which is to ensure improved student welfare and well-being, including health.
The meeting also took into serious consideration extending support for Students Week "which will feature a range of health-related and social activities designed to provide students with immediate access to healthcare services.
Meanwhile, the CMD, Dr Mustapha Bittaye, underscored his appreciation of the students and their initiatives.
He assured of EFSTH’s commitment to supporting the UTGSU, especially in areas such as providing essential medical supplies and equipment, and internship opportunities.
