The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture on Wednesday warmly hosted executive members of the University of The Gambia Students’ Union (UTGSU), who paid a courtesy visit as part of efforts to strengthen institutional partnerships ahead of this year’s forthcoming Students’ Week.

Discussions centred on the upcoming Students’ Week, with both sides exploring areas of collaboration, particularly the implementation of cultural activities during the convergence. Special emphasis was placed on the planned cultural exhibition, which will showcase The Gambia’s rich heritage. The Ministry pledged support to ensure the success of the event.

Tourism and Culture Minister Abdoulie Jobe reiterated his institution’s commitment to backing the UTGSU in its cultural initiatives. He stressed that such collaborations align with the Ministry’s mandate to promote and preserve the nation’s cultural heritage while encouraging youth participation in the sector.
