GRA bids farewell to 4 retired staff

The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) on Tuesday bid farewell to four of its retired staff who served the authority for several years.
Five participated in the mega-event and after an outstanding performance, three participants were awarded with gold medals while two were certificated.
The Medals, along with the certificates, arrived last week via post office and have been finally handed over to the respective owners.
The participants were Essa Sanneh, Gebel Gaye, Ebrima Ceesay, Matarr Badjie and Sohna Jeng.
According to the president of the Union, Mr Ebou Sanyang alias Jet Li, Serrekunda East martial art is here to unify, promote and spread the noble sport of martial arts, adding that the union will organize and give opportunity to students to compete and also acquire knowledge in referee, coaching, new fighting system (combat) in order to set the standard.
Mr Sanyang further disclosed that there are lot of talented athletes in The Gambia, lamenting that the only thing they need is motivation, exposure and good facilities.
He urged government and stakeholders to render more support to combative sports to ensure greater development and recognition of the sport in The Gambia.
