In their bid to complement the efforts of The Gambia Police Force (GPF), Mega Bank Gambia Limited recently repaired and presented the operational vehicle of the Fraud Investigation Department of the GPF at a ceremony held at the Police Headquarters in Banjul.

The ceremony, witnessed the handing over of the keys to the Police Management by officials of the Bank, headed by Mr Yusupha Jassey, head of Administration at Mega Bank.

At the ceremony, Mr. Jassey expressed delight in partnering and supporting the GPF, citing that security is everyone’s business.

He maintained that Mega Bank is proud to manifest its corporate social responsibility through support to law enforcement.

He revealed that the repairs and maintenance of the vehicle cost an estimated One Hundred and Forty Five Thousand Dalasis (D145,000).

Receiving the key on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Assistant Inspector General of Police Demba Sowe, who doubles as Crime Management Coordinator, expressed profound gratitude to Mega Bank for the gesture.

The support, he added, could have come at no better time given that preparations are on course ahead of the country’s December 4th elections, adding that security operations are on high gear.

He thus thanked the management and staff of Mega Bank Gambia for the act of generosity.

Mr Yusupha Njie, managing Director of The Mega Bank, also expressed the Bank’s willingness to partner with the Police at all times.
