On count one, the accused is alleged that sometime in the month of July, 2024 in Brikama, he, by false pretense and with intent to defraud, pretended to exercise witchcraft or fortune-telling to Mamadou Alieu Jallow, thereby committing an offence.
Count two stated that the accused, Amadou Saidy sometime in the month of July, 2024 at Brikama, he by false pretense and with intent to defraud pretended to exercise witchcraft or fortune-telling to Mamadou Alieu Jallow and obtained cash amount of D320, 000, thereby committed an offence.
The accused pleaded guilty when the charges were read to him.
Sergeant M. Sallah who appeared for the inspector General of police, applied for an adjournment with a view to enable him present the facts to the court.
The presiding Magistrate accepted the prosecutor’s application, saying: “Based on time factor, I will have this case adjourned to 22nd January, 2024.”
Magistrate Sambou, thus ordered for the accused to be remanded in Mile 2 Central Prison.
