
The event was attended by hundreds of mourners, family and relatives, who gathered to pay their last respect to Madam Samba, who until her demise served as Gambia Talent TV Country Coordinator.
Speaker after speaker described the fallen comrade as a kind-hearted individual, whose professionalism and humility is ‘unmatched.’
Among those who gathered to pay their last respect include were Dr. Ismaila Ceesay, Minister for Information and Communication, who extended condolence to the family over the passing of their loved one.
“On behalf of the Ministry, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Fatou Samba’s family, friends, and colleagues. Her death is truly heartbreaking and shocking. It’s a moment of profound sadness for all of us.
Fatou was a dedicated and passionate journalist, deeply respected for her professionalism and humility. Her confidence, kind nature, and ever-present smile left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
“While this loss is difficult to comprehend, we are reminded that nothing in life lasts forever. We pray that Allah grants her Jannah. This was unexpected, but we must accept Allah’s will and plan.”

Abdoulie Jawo, a colleague, said the media fraternity has lost a sister, friend and everybody.
He described the late Fatou Samba as person full of humor, but also full of respect and very down to earth.
