Nafa Program: Beneficiary opens shop

Kalipha Sillah, a native of Jaka Madina in Wuli West District, Upper River Region has opened a shop after benefiting from the ‘Nafa’ Program.
Fall, was awarded in recognition of his outstanding services to international development. The award came following his nomination by the Department for International Development (DfID).
Professor Faal, through his organisation GK Partners/Migration and Sustainable Development in The Gambia (MSDG) project has partnered with The Gambia’s ‘Mother Theresa’ Amie Jarjue and her charity, Join Hands 2 Save A Baby to support and complement the Ministry of Health in the fight against preventable deaths across the country.
The founder of ‘Join Hands 2 Save A Baby’ Mrs Amie Jarju said they are appreciative of this considerate gesture by Professor Faal and the entire GDTS Practice Fellowships organisation.
According her, the project is designed for pregnant women, new mothers and babies, indicating that the donation will go a long way towards helping in the implementation of the blood bank across the six regions of the country.
The project, he added, also seeks to develop, empower and ensure a safe working environment for health professionals to be able to feel save to deliver as expected.
She finally called on citizens to join hands and support the noble project for the well-being of Gambians.
