Village Alkalo Alh Sheriffo Samateh said he and his team were concerned about the welfare of the people of the community during the trying times of the coronavirus pandemic, leading to their collaboration with Wilde Ganzen of Netherlands/Holland to provide the gesture.
He said he believes that the support could go a long way in improving the living conditions of the people, appealing to the people of the community to strictly follow the health care advices by regularly washing their hands, observing social distancing and avoiding social gatherings.
He thanked the foundation for their continuous support to the village, particularly with the food relief which comes at no better time than now when the country is in a state of public health emergency due to coronavirus pandemic.
Ismaila Drammeh, a member of VDC hailed the foundation for their care and concern for the people of Toubakolong and surrounding villages.
He noted that the projects that the foundation previously brought such as school, community market, health centre and poultry project are clear testimonies of their good heart towards the wellbeing of the people of communities within the area.
Officer-in-charge of Toubakolong community clinic, Bafoday Jammeh said the foundation has provided enough drugs and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and utensils for hygiene practice to the clinic the moment the state of public emergency was declared.
