Speaking at the event, Hon. Abdoulie Njai NAM for Banjul Central said it is incumbent upon him to fulfill his campaign promises to the electorates because those promises are why they voted him into office.
He added that all their meetings will now be held at the new office premises, noting that they would engage people and have discussions on issues affecting their constituency to help them work effectively with their development partners like councilors.
“This is not Hon. Njai’s office. This is Banjul Central’s office. We opened this office for easy and smooth communication for people within the constituency to come and tell us their problems for us to find solution to them or refer them to those who can solve their problems,” he stated.
Hon. Momodou B. Bah, NAM for Banjul North said there is nothing more important than fulfilling promises as a politician.
Hon. Sulayman Jammeh, NAM for Bundungka Kunda said the office will serve as a medium of communication between Hon. Njai and his people. “The office is not only for people who voted for Hon. Njai but for the whole Banjul Central constituency.”
Ablie Krubally, Youth Council of Banjul City Council said as the people’s representative, it is good to be somewhere that your people can access you whenever the need arise. Thus, he said they are looking forward to him fulfilling other promises as well.
