Approximately two months ago, during an appearance at the chambers of the Djembe Hotel in Senegambia, the inquiry formally requested those documents from the councillor.
Councillor Ceesay appeared with little to show, asserting that he had located the necessary documents but had unfortunately lost them. The only item he presented was a bank statement limited to the year 2024, which is beyond the Commission's designated time-frame.
The Commission has requested that he furnish complete bank statements, documentation of his expenditures related to the funds received from the KMC for his ward, the file for the Establishment and Appointment Committee, along with other relevant documents.
"I managed to trace most of them and compiled them into a file, but some remain unaccounted for. They might be at home or in the office," he explained.
He asked for additional time to locate the documents, and Chairperson Jainaba Bah approved his request. He is scheduled to reappear before the panel on Thursday.
