UMC in rural Gambia to remedy eyesight complications

UMC organises unprecedented eyewear testing and dispensary in Jarra Soma for residents with eyesight complications in LRR and CRR South.

25 eye specialist will offer free tests to 100s of people as Cllr Matty Kanyi and Salimatou Jallow Bensouda grace the occasion.

Over 175 needy residents will receive free eyewear worth over D3 million (made in the US).

The tests will continue on to Farafenni tomorrow as 100s more from NBR and CRR North will benefit with the same program where another 175 people will benefit from D3 million plus worth of eyewear.
