Regional Crime Officer Commissioner Boto Keita, in a press briefing at the Kairaba Police Station yesterday, said: “The suspect Augustine Bangura, a Sierra Leonean national, who was arrested in connection with the murder of a British woman reportedly killed in Madina Alagie few days ago, has confessed to the killing of the British woman.”
According to the regional crime officer, material evidence such as a pistol, hammer, spade, money and keys among other valuables have been recovered from the suspect.
In a different development, the police gave an update on the Fajara robbery incident in which two suspects, Seedy Gaye and David, a Sierra Leonean, were arrested in connection with that incident.
The regional crime officer of the Kanifing Municipality, Pateh Bah, says both suspects have confessed to committing the attempted robbery in Fajara and both have been charged with several counts pending court hearing.
