The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) on 1st March confirmed the registration of Democratic Party.
This is after the party met the requirements for registration as political party under the section 105 of the Elections Act 2009 as amended.
The secretary general and party leader is Yusupha Dumbuya, party colour light blue on top and black down while the party symbol is Torchlight and the party motto ‘awakening’.
