Continuing his testimony, Lamin Y.K. Sanneh, a narcotics officer at DLEAG, clarified that instead of the 15 motor vehicles he mentioned in the previous proceedings, 12 motor vehicles, three motorcycles and one Jet Ski were seized at different locations.
It would be recalled that state counsel Lamin Jarju requested the court to visit the locations where the motor vehicles, motorcycles, and Jet Ski were parked, a request which the court granted.
At the Kairaba Police Station, three vehicles were identified: a white Mitsubishi Pajero, a black Porsche, and a black Toyota, which the witness said was a private vehicle belonging to Paulo Djabi.
Asked about the keys to the vehicles, the witness explained that they could not be located, which was why the vehicles remained at the police station.
During the investigation, the vehicles were reportedly found at Paulo Djabi’s residence.
State counsel Jarju applied to tender the three vehicles as evidence, a request the court granted. The court ruled that the vehicles would remain in the custody of the station officer at the Kairaba Police Station.
Afterward, the presiding judge, the state counsel, the defense lawyer, the accused persons, and other officers proceeded to DLEAG office to inspect the remaining seized vehicles.
At the DLEAG-CTI office, when the state counsel asked the witness how he could identify the vehicles, he said he could do so by physically pointing them out.
Justice Jaiteh and the other officers toured the DLEAG-CTI premises to inspect the vehicles. Among the nine vehicles identified were a Range Rover, Mitsubishi vehicles, a Benz, a BMW, a RAM 1500, as well as three motorcycles and a Jet Ski.
State counsel Jarju applied to tender these motor vehicles and motorcycles as exhibits, which the court approved.
Asked where the vehicles were found during the investigation, the witness stated that the vehicles, motorcycles, and Jet Ski were seized from various locations by a joint investigation team. Some were seized at Fajara Waterfront, Envy Nightclub, Baraka Estate in Bakoteh, while the exact locations of the others could not be recalled.
Counsel Jarju also applied for the vehicles to remain in the custody of the station officer at DLEAG-CTI in Bijilo, which the court granted.
Defence counsel Tambedou requested that the accused persons be allowed to visit DLEAG-CTI once a week to start and clean the vehicles, a request that was also granted by the court.
The case was adjourned until 28 October.
