CHANGE’s framework allows parties to continue bilateral engagements with other political groups and aspirants. The draft agreement formally recognises the United Democratic Party (UDP) alliance as a bona fide member. Alongside APP Sobeyaa, GFA, Tabax Rewmi movement, and the UDP alliance, the coalition now brings together four registered political parties and two political movements.
Coalition leaders say these efforts are aimed at delivering to Gambians the broad opposition front long demanded. They reiterated an open invitation to other parties, movements, and aspiring candidates to join the emerging coalition. Expressions of interest may be directed to admin@change2026.org or through any of the existing member parties.
APeX, the impartial convening body, commended the parties for their perseverance and constructive engagement. Chairperson Dr. Jaye Krubally and Outreach Lead Mr. Demba Ali Jawo noted that the sustained commitment of all partners demonstrates the collective resolve needed to confront the challenges facing the nation.
The coalition thanked the Gambian public for its patience, interest, and support throughout the process.
