Catholic Diocese suspends all churches’ programmes amid rise in covid-19

The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Banjul has announced it is suspending all church programmes due to increase in covid-19 cases in the Gambia.

Bishop Gabriel Mendy said masses will be only celebrated in private and not in public thus urging people to follow suit.

The bishop further stated that all marriages, baptisms, vigils and procession are also suspended till further notice. He recommended that Christians follow the live streaming.
