In Equatorial Guinea, President Téodoro Obiang Nguéma received in audience Friday, 17 January 2025, Mr. Amadou Ndiaye, special envoy to Gambian President Adama Barrow. The man came to transmit a message from the Gambian leader to the Equato-Guinean Head of State.

Upon leaving the hearing, Mr. Ndiaye revealed that he had come to Malabo to tell President Obiang Nguéma that his Gambian counterpart would like to count him among the distinguished guests of the Forum of Operators for the Guarantee of the Economic Emergency in Africa (FOGECA), which will be held from January 31 to February 1, 2025 in Banjul.

Adama Barrow hopes that the old leader will preside over the opening ceremony of this Conference and addresses representatives of the private sector and international institutions that will be present at the event.

"We are sure that the message of SE Obiang Nguéma Mbasogo will be full of hope and will allow the private sector to develop the various mechanisms it must adopt to develop our continent, knowing that FOGEGA was born here in Equatorial Guinea 17 years ago," said Mr. Ndiaye.
