The flagbearer of APP-SOBEYAA has underscored the robust programmes and policies they want to administer or deliver to the people of The Gambia ‘if voted in office’, hinting that the winds of change is coming.

Essa Mbaye Fall was speaking during a presser shortly after addressing delegates at the All-People’s Party -SOBEYA inaugural merger congress held in Farafenni last Saturday.

He accused the NPP-led administration of mismanaging public funds, while ordinary Gambians continue to live in abject poverty.

He also faults the government for its misplaced priorities, citing the amount of monies spent in buying 89 SUV vehicle for delegates coming to the county for just two days to attend the 15th OIC Summit held in Banjul.

"Is that not misuse of public fund?

"All of you know the stealing that is happening in this country. It is illegal for the president to spend 63 million dalasi on the Meet the People's Tour, as it is unlawful and against the law of the country."

This, amount of money, he argued, could have been spent on something to beneficial for the country, further reminding that no one has right to spend even one butut of public fund without the approval of the law.

To this end, he spoke about some of their development plans they wanted to roll out to bring about robust development in the country, noting that misuse of public funds by the current government will end in 2026, as he is determined to put an end to it.

To this end, Fall underscored the importance of ensuring food self-sufficiency in the country, claiming that the government is spending US$300 million to import food when the country has all it takes to produce food for the people.

This, he added, could have been spent on something as the country has all it takes to feed itself.

Thus, he called on all to reason and rally behind APP-SOBEYA party to effect the change all Gambians desired.

Commenting on the daily realities of life in the country, Faal lamented the high cost of living in the country and called on all to rally behind APP-SOBEYA to salvage the country from its current situation.

However, he maintained that APP-SOBEYA is a party that doesn’t look at tribe, religion, place or identity, but that it is a party for all Gambian, as they are united with a common vision and values to deliver to the people of The Gambia.

While hinting other parties, who’ve all agreed to merger with them in their resolve to effect a change Gambian wants, Faal assured that in road to 2026 presidential race work has started as the outcome of the congress will determine their future.

He once again reminded all to join them as the wind of change is sweeping across the region.
