Amir Trawally urges Muslims to uphold highest standards of moral conduct

The Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in The Gambia has called on Muslims to strengthen their relationship with Allah Almighty, uphold the highest standards of moral conduct and to wholeheartedly serve humanity with sincerity and compassion.

Amir Baba F. Trawally made this appeal at the closing ceremony of the 48th Jalsa Salana Annual Islamic Confab held on Sunday 12th April 2026 at Nusrat Senior Secondary School premises. This year’s Jalsa Salana brought together various stakeholders to interface in the three-day forum held on the theme - “The Holy Qur’an; Solution for the Challenges of the Modern World.”

In his message, Amir Trawally urged believers to remain loyal and obedient to their Khilafat and to strive for continuous self-reformation.

He stated that Jalsa Salana is not merely an annual gathering; rather, it is a spiritual training ground, a divine opportunity for self-reflection, moral reformation and spiritual elevation.

“The true success of this Jalsa will not be measured by attendance or organization, but by the transformation it brings within us,” he said.

“In today’s world, where moral decay and spiritual emptiness are becoming increasingly widespread, the responsibility upon members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat is even greater,” he added.

Thus, he challenged the youth of the Jamaat to strengthen their faith, away stay from harmful influences and to use their time and talents in the service of Islam and humanity.

Amir Trawally also reminded parents to bear the greatest responsibility in the moral and spiritual upbringing of their children.
