The prosecution alleged that on the 12th day of October 2025 at Abuko, in the Kanifing Municipality of the Gambia and within the jurisdiction of the High Court, Modou Lamin Marong, intentionally, under coercive circumstances, engaged in a Sexual Act with a 10-year-old girl (name withheld), thereby committed an offence.
The Chief Justice of the Republic of the Gambia has assigned the case to the Hon. Ebrima Jaiteh of the Special Criminal Division of the High Court.
The case is set for mention and plea taking on the 9 March 2026.
