Zurich FC on Monday 9th October 2012 beat Cannon FC by 2-0 in the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) Nawetan Competition played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Baboucarr Mansally open the score line for Zurich FC in the 17th minute of the game, while substitute Ousman Badjie sealed the victory in the 89th minute of the game from a brilliant finish after capitalizing on Mustapha Njie’s pass.
Zurich FC have now collected 6 points in four games with a game in hand against Shop Bi FC.
Alieu Colley head coach of Zurich FC said he was very happy with the performance of his team.
He stated that his team improved in every game, but they will respect their opponent in their next game.
He noted that, as a young team, it would not be easy for them in the second round, and that they will work hard to make sure they achieve something.
He added that the performance of his team has indicated that they wanted something, and further noted that they are going for both trophies, and can either win the knock-out or league trophy this year.
