After languishing behind bars for two months without being released or brought before the courts, one Kebba Ceesay has been finally taken to court and charged with defilement.
Kebba was placed under detention at the Tallinding police station for almost two months without being formally charged but was on Tuesday arraigned before Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara for deflowering a teenage girl. While in the dock, the presiding magistrate enquired from Kebba as to whether he would like to secure the services of a lawyer to which he replied in the positive.
Therefore, he was left with the onus of securing legal representation before the next adjourned date of the case.
Kebba was in the meantime granted bail in the sum of D20,000 as his case progresses.
