Young
Africans and Serrekunda East Bi are both expecting to bounce back in the
2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation second division league after losing to
Wallidan and Lions of Banjul in their week-five fixtures at the weekend.
Young
Africans lost to Wallidan 4-0 in the all-Banjul derby clash at the Banjul KG5
Mini Stadium, whilst Serrekunda East Bi also lost to Lions of Banjul 1-0 at the
Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
The
Banjul-based outfit are among the teams vying for promotion to the top flight
next season with 8 points in five league outings and are seven points behind
current league leaders Red Hawks with 15 points in five league matches after
winning their five opening league fixtures. They would therefore chase to beat
Serrekunda East to close the gap on league leaders.
The
Serrekunda East-based outfit are currently struggling in the second tier and
will hunt to beat Young Africans to bounce back and also improve their position
in the league after losing to Lions of Banjul 1-0 in the week-five fixtures
last week.
