Gambian
striker, Yankuba Jarju has scored his fifth league goal for Pau FC, in the
French National 1 (Third Division League) during their 3-0 home win over SC
Toulon in their week twenty-two fixtures of the French Third Division league
played at the Stade Du Hameau Idron 1 on Friday.
The
23-year-old scored his side’s third goal with a remarkable finish in the 64th
minute to registered his fifth goal in 16 matches
Senegalese
Modou Lamin Gueye and Antoine Batisse scored Pau FC’s opening two goals in the
21st and 30th minutes just before the Gambian Jarju’s completes the scoring
before the end of the game.
The
former Real de Banjul player signed a professional contract with the French
club in 2018 from Senegalese side Generation Foot where he impressed to caught
the attention scouts
This
win has moved Pau FC to first position in the French National 1 (Third Division
League) with 44 points, a point above second position holders, Dunkerque FC
while Toulon FC occupied first-from-bottom (18th) position with 10 points after
22 matches.
