Woman in court for alleged theft

A woman called Alimatou Colley was Monday arraigned before Magistrate Jeng of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with theft.

She denied the charge and was granted court bail of D50, 000 with two Gambian sureties who must swear to an affidavit of means and deposit their ID cards.

According to the charge sheet read in court, the accused, Alimatou Colley, between March 2010 and April 2013, at Kafuta village, Kombo East, West Coast Region, broke the briefcase belonging to Ingolf Buchiester (alias Babucarr Bojang) and stole his compound documents with cash of D75,000.
