Woman arraigned for assault

A woman accused of assault causing actual bodily harm was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.

Fatou Kah denied the charge and was granted court bail of D5, 000 with a Gambian surety.

According to the charge sheet read in court, the accused, Fatou Kah, on 20 September 2011, at Old Yundum Village, in Kombo North district of the West Coast Region, assaulted one Ram Tambedou, by hitting her with a broken glass on her face, thereby causing her actual bodily harm.

The case at that juncture was adjourned till 14 November 2011.
