Justice Emmanuel Nkea of the Special Criminal Court recently issued a summons for one Pierre Mendy to appear before the court at the next adjournment date, for him to be re-examined in the case he testified earlier.
The development came, following the application made by the defence counsel from the Legal Aid office, for Mendy, who had earlier testified as the fourth prosecution witness, to be re-examined.
Mendy had previously testified in a rape case involving one Sanna Kah.
The court granted the application and ordered Pierre Mendy to appear before the court on 13 November 2012, and to be re-examined.
It would be recalled that the accused, Sanna Kah, was charged with raping an underage girl some time in 2011, a charge he denied.
The case continues.
