The annual West Coast Region inter-departmental football championship tournament has reached its semi-final stage after a successful completion of the first round games at the Brikama Mini-stadium recently.
The tournament is organised and coordinated by the office of the Governor in Brikama and sponsored by the Governor of West Coast Region, Lamin Sanneh.
The tournament is meant to foster unity and mutual understanding among the workers in the West Coast Region and its environs.
On Wednesday, 8 December 2010, Yundum Army Barracks will clash with Plumbers Association in the first semi-final at the Brikama Mini-stadium at 4.30pm.
Brikama Craft Market will meet either Brikama Business Community or Combine Forces in the second semi-final game on Thursday, 9 December 2010 at 4.30pm.
At the time of going to press, Brikama Business Community were clashing with Combine Forces in their final group game at the Brikama Mini-stadium. The winner will battle it out with Brikama Craft Market in the second semi-final.
