Kombo Kerewan United are through to the semi-final in the ongoing West Coast Region third division qualifiers after beating Busumbala United 1-0 in the first quarterfinal game played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium at the weekend.
Kombo Kerewan United, who lost to Bombada United 3-1 in the semi-final last season, came into the game with the intention of winning the tie and advance to the semi-final. They however managed to notch in one goal which earned them a place in the semi-final.
On Tuesday 21 January 2014, Black and White of Berending will clash with Nema United in the third quarterfinal game at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.
Black and White of Berending, who lost to Bombada United 2-1 in the 2013 West Coast Region third division qualifiers final game played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium, will be hoping for a win against Nema United to progress to the semi-final as well as keeping their hopes of qualifying for the Gambia Football Federation third division triangular qualifiers.
Nema United will also be hoping for a win against Black and White to sail to the semi-final as well as keeping their hopes of returning to the second tier following their demotion to the third division.
