WCR 3rd Division set for break

The 2015-2016 West Coast Regional third division league is set for break after the completion of week-nine fixtures at the weekend.

As part of week-nine fixtures, Gunjur United pound Foni Berefet 2-0 at the Gunjur Nyamina football field to bounce back in contention for promotion to the second tier next season.

Gunjur United opened the score through creative midfielder Salifu Bapa Bojang in the first minute of the game. Alassan Touray aka Lana sealed victory before break to earn Gunjur United the vital three points to top the league.

The victory has also earned Gunjur United top spot in the West Coast Regional third division league with 17 points in nine games.

Gunjur United are now two points clear ahead of Jambanjelly United and Sifoe United with 15 points each but Jambanjelly United have played more games than Sifoe United.
