W/Coast Regional Football Association holds pre-season meeting As regional third division leagues season approaches

West Coast Regional Football Association (WCRFA) on Sunday held a pre-season meeting with team managers at the Governor’s office in Brikama in Kombo Central, West Coast Region, as the 2014-2015 West Coast Regional third division league approaches.

The much-awaited pre-season meeting brought together team managers to review the 2013-2014 West Coast Regional third division league and discuss 2014-2015 league season set to commence later this year.

The 12-team league will kick-start with the league traditional curtain raiser the Super Cup final between league champions Jambanjelly United and runners-up Gunjur United.

It would be recalled that Jambanjelly United clinched the 2013-2014 West Coast Regional third division league title after securing 24 points in eleven games.

Gunjur United finished runners-up after snatching 21 points in eleven games three points behind league champions Jambanjelly United.

Jambanjelly United received D50,000 as league champions and will also represent West Coast Region in the upcoming GFF triangular third division qualifiers against teams from Banjul, Kanifing Municipality and the relegated teams from the second division.

Gunjur United on the other hand received D30,000 as runners-up.
