Wallidan on Sunday defeated current second division league leader Lamin United 3-0 in the week-four fixtures in the GFA second division played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Wallidan made a slow start to the second division league campaign after drawing their two opening games against Tallinding United and Bombada United.
Wallidan dominated the lion’s share of ball possession and caused series of assaults in front of Lamin United’s goal-mouth, which resulting in their scoring three solid goals to grab the maximum points against league leaders Lamin United.
Latrikunda United thumped Tallinding United 3-1 at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.
Elsewhere, Serrekunda United were held to a goalless draw by Sait Matty in the other week-four fixtures at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda on the same day.
Despite their 3-0 defeat to Wallidan, Lamin United are still leading the second division league standings with 9 points in four games a single points ahead of 2nd-place Wallidan, who have bagged 8 points in four outings.
Sait Matty and Serrekunda United are in 2nd and 3rd positions respectively with 5 points each in four games. Tallinding United are 7th position with 3 points in four games, while Latrikunda United have so far 4 points in four games.
