Demba Savage’s and Finnish giants Helsinki are set for another outing tonight as they prepare ahead of the opening of the topflight league in Finland next week.
HJK will open their 2013 campaign against FC Inter on Monday and play FC Honka the following week, all away matches, before hosting MYPA at home, for their first home game.
HJK had a series of club friendlies. They beat Hammarby 2-0 in March and also lost to AIK 2-1. Last week they beat Jaro 2-0 in the Suomen Cup 5th round.
Savage made 30 league appearances last season scoring 12 goals in his name, the second highest record of goals he held in the Finnish league.
His highest was in 2011 with 15 goals in 29 matches when he was playing for his former club FC Honka, soccerway has revealed.
