One
Valerie Rose Vatkis, a Briton, has instituted a civil suit against Lamin Waa
Juwara, former minister of Local Government and Lands, before Magistrate
Krubally of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.
The
plaintiff, Valerie Rose Vatkis, is claiming D141,115.50 for breach of contract,
being the money spent in erecting a fence in a 50m by 50m plot of land in
Rhumba Village in the Kombo South District of the West Coast Region.
The
plaintiff was also claiming for damages, interest at 25% per annum since
February 2014 to the date of judgment, costs among other.
The
matter, slated for hearing yesterday, was adjourned until 24 July 2017, as the
presiding magistrate was indisposed.
