Ernest Aubee, head of agriculture Division at ECOWAS Commission, recently donated some
agricultural books and electronic materials to School of Agricultural and
Environmental Science of the University of The Gambia.
Mr Ernest Aubee said the materials are a collection of research agricultural journals on
different areas such as agronomy, food safety, land management, pest and
diseases control and agricultural-related policies issues.
“These
books would help the in teaching agriculture, food and nutrition,” he said,
adding that the books were not his first support to the UTG.
Omar
Sanneh, vice president of the UTG agriculture and environmental club, thanked Mr Ernest Aubee for “the wonderful donation”, saying the materials would helped in their
research undertakings.
Tijan
Jobe, UTG lecturer, said the donation would go a long way in stocking the
library for the benefit of the students.
He
said the books would be of great help to the students in doing their research
on their research.
