Tests on
the 27-year-old man, who was suspected of carrying the Ebola virus and is
currently admitted at Matam Hospital in northern Senegal, showed negative, and
his health condition has improved.
This was announced by Dr. Dodou Sene, chief medical doctor at Matam Hospital to Senegalese news media on Monday.
Meanwhile, Cote d’Ivoire on Monday announced the banning of all flights from Ebola-affected areas.
Other reports said Benin has two suspected cases, and the blood tests are being carried out by French doctors in Paris.
A German national who is a student, and is currently in Liberia on holidays, contracted the virus and has been returned to Rwanda, where he lives.
The latest report by the Health minister is that Nigeria has 10 new Ebola suspect cases.
