Toronto FC's disappointing season continues as they shared the spoils with MLS Cup holders Real Salt Lake in falling out of the CONCACAF Champions League.

Gambia  international Amadou Sanyang's Toronto's Wednesday night draw means that Real Salt Lake have advanced to the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals, while they  have crashed out of Group A. Real finished the year undefeated, after their last match against Toronto, with two wins and two draws in four matches.

Each club has one match remaining in the group stage, with Toronto FC hosting Arabe Unido in a meaningless tie, while Real are to battle Cruz Azul for top spot in Group A at Rio Tinto. Both matches take place on October 21.
