UDP regional chairs optimistic of landslide victory come Dec 1

The Opposition United Democratic Party (UDP) regional chairpersons have expressed confidence about a massive victory in the December 1 presidential polls.

The regional chairpersons were speaking during the unveiling of Adama Barrow as the party’s flag-bearer for the December 1 presidential election.

Yusupha Cham, regional chairperson for West Coast Region, said there are 281,000 (two hundred and eighty-one thousand) votes in West Coast Region, adding that Adama Barrow would gain the majority of votes in the region.

Mr Cham applauded Adama Barrow for accepting the post, stating that he was confident that UDP would emerge victorious in the forthcoming presidential election on December 1.

Adama Barrow is trustworthy, committed and dedicated in his work, he said, and expressed confidence that the UDP would win the forthcoming presidential poll.

Alhagie Mansa Ndow, regional chairperson for Banjul, appealed to Gambians to vote massively for Adama Barrow in the December 1 presidential election, in order to usher in better governance and an improved economy in The Gambia.

The National Youth President, Lamin Cham, called on Gambians to use their votes to make a change in The Gambia, and bring in Adama Barrow to the presidency.
