The Gambia Football Association (GFA) has invited two foreign based players, Pa Sulay Njie and Sainey Mboge, both in UK for the Gambia U-20 qualifiers set to start this month, said Seedy MB Kinteh GFA President.
The Sainey Mboge was a key figure with a UK youth team called Unity, in 2005/6, before moving to Charvil, another youth team from 2006 to 2009. The right- wing player proceeded to Eldon Celtic, a side he is playing for up to date.
The duo will be joined by other professional players for the upcoming match against Sierra Leone in the CAF 17th Orange African U-20 championship on the 24th July at the Independence Stadium.
The team has since last month started training ahead of the highly anticipated Orange championship, under the guidance of the team's former Coach Lamin Sarr who is assisted by Foday Bah of Wallidan and Steve Biko boss Abdoulie Bojang at the Serrekunda East.
Meanwhile, nine (9) other foreign based players namely, Ebrima Bojang, Abdourahman Dampha, Paul Jatta, Emmanuel Gomez, Amadou Sanyang, Alieu Darboe, Saikou Gassama, Abdoulie Jatta and Seedy Bah were also invited to join the team, according to Kinteh.
