Two senior government officials removed

According to reliable sources, Mawdo Juwara Permanent Secretary No. 2, at the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Banjul, has been removed from office, with effect from yesterday. He is being replaced by Omar Gibba, who until then was the Deputy Chief of Protocol at the Office of the President.

Karamo Jaiteh, the Director-General of the National Roads Authority has also been removed.

In another development, O.G. Sallah, who only served a week at the Health Ministry has been moved back to the Personnel Management Office (PMO) as Permanent Secretary, while Yahya Siray Jallow has been moved to the Health Ministry as Permanent Secretary.
