Two young men last Monday walked home each with Fifty Thousand, One Hundred Dalasi after emerging as winners of the Gambia National Lottery weekend jackpot, at a ceremony held at GNL West Field office.
The winners: Lamin Konateh, a resident of Jarra Soma in the Lower River Region and Pa Ebrima Manneh also a native of Banjul, both went home with a cheque for D50, 100.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Senior Marketing Manager for GNL, Mr. Fabakary Jammeh highlighted GNL's unflinching support to its esteem customers in the area of employment and poverty reduction, among others. He said that GNL has and continues to create job opportunities for Gambian youths. As he put it, those who won are young people, which is a clear testimony of their commitment for young people.
GNL Senior Marketer, however, noted that they are proud to fulfill their social corporate responsibility, adding that they have at least contributed in all sectors of development, ranging from Education, Health, among others
He disclosed that next week jackpot would be more than D33, 100, calling on their consumers to fully participate in the betting and gaming. He added that at GNL, wining has no boundaries.
For his part, Mr. Amadou Marenah, the Chief Accountant at GNL appealed to all esteem customers of GNL to patronise their services, as according to him, the money is ploughed back to them.
Mr. Marenah also reiterated his office's continuous strive to create an enabling environment for Gambian youths.
