African Award of Excellence 2009 to be Held

Concept College (London) and World Information Distribution University College (Belgium) in collaboration with London Training Centre (LTC) will be organising the African Award of Excellence 2009 and graduation ceremony on Sunday 8th November 2009.

This ceremony, according to a press release from the London Training Centre, would also witness the maiden edition of an African Award of Excellence, which would see a number of deserving individuals being awarded for their invaluable contributions to national development in their respective fields of work, and countries.

Among the Gambian awardees include, Hon. Samba Faal and Hon. Yankuba Colley, Lord Mayors of Banjul and KMC respectively, amongst others from other countries, especially Nigeria where politicians and administrators are being honoured.

The release further stated that there are also corporate awards to distinct corporations and bodies for their role in development and community corporate responsibility, and slated for these categories are: Africell, Gamcel and Uncle Sam Security Services. Also nominated for awards are: Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA), Social Security & Housing Corporation (SSHFC), Gambia Ports Authority amongst others.

The event will be held at the Paradise Suites hotel.
