Two arraigned for housebreaking, stealing

Two men, Abdou Salam Jabbi and Mustapha Nyassi, were recently arraigned before Magistrate Sidi Jobarteh of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with conspiracy, housebreaking and stealing.

They were each granted court bail of D100,000 with two Gambian sureties.

According to the particulars of offence on count one, the two accused persons, on 17 November 2014, at New Yundum, in Kombo North, West Coast Region, conspired to commit a felony.

Count two read that they broke and entered into the house of one Amie Drammeh with intent to commit a felony, therein stealing, and the offence was said to have happened on the same date and month.

Count three indicated that they stole items worth D150,000.

The case was adjourned till 22 December 2014.
