Trade Ministry bags award from Senegambia Run for Integration

A delegation from Senegambia Run for Integration headed by George Gomez on Thursday 26th March 2020 paid a courtesy call on the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration, and Employment to award the Ministry in recognition of its tremendous support and contribution towards the success of the second concluded edition of the Senegambia Run for Integration (Barra to Dakar); which was held from the 17th to 19th January 2020. The delegation also awarded Lamin Dampha, permanent secretary, Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment for his support.

Speaking at the event, George Gomez from Senegambia Run for Integration, said the awards were in recognition of the Ministry’s continuous support and contribution in the recently concluded marathon that was held in January from Barra to Dakar. He noted that these awards will further cement ties between Senegambia Run for Integration and the Ministry.

Honourable Lamin Jobe, the minister for Trade, on behalf of the Ministry, thanked the delegation for the two awards. He also encouraged them to keep up the good work, noting that his ministry will continue to support the noble venture.

Assan Gaye, deputy permanent secretary, Industry and Investment, said the Ministry of Trade will continue to support the Senegambia run for integration through collaboration and integration.
