As part of their contribution to the welfare, support of the children of SOS village, Total Company Gambia limited last Thursday 24th December 2009 donated Christmas gifts to the orphans of the SOS Children Village in Bakoteh.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony held in the children's village, the Managing Director of the Total Company Gambia Ltd, Mr. Jonas A Ayi said the donation forms part of their contributions to the Christmas feast and the welfare of the children at the SOS children's village. Noting that it is a clear indication of how Total is committed to their job and the development of The Gambia in general, he advised children to listen to their mothers, as well as to take care of their education.
Receiving the gift, Haddy Njie, the Director of the village commended the management and staff of Total Gambia for what he described as a benevolent gesture. She also commended the mothers for their sense of commitment to their duties.
Isatou Niang, Human Resources Manager of Total Company also expressed similar sentiments, and advised children to listen to their mothers.
Dodou Njie of Total Gambia Ltd was master of the programme.
