Titan FC have been crowned champions of the 2013 Sifoe league after their 2-1 win over Ecomog FC in a well-attended final game played at the Sifoe Primary School football field on Saturday.

Ecomog FC came into the game with the objective of beating Titan FC and clinching the trophy after losing to Sateba United FC 1-0 in the league final last season.

They made a stunning start to the game and created some goal-scoring opportunities but failed to utilize their opportunities.

Titan FC, on the other hand, were defending and relying on counter attacks. They opened the scoring through Ebrima P. Jallow alias Janko in the 23rd minute of the game from a brilliant long-range strike to give his side the lead.

Ecomog responded back and levelled the score through prolific striker Dominic Demba in the 60th minute of the game to cancel out Ebrima P. Jallow’s 23rd-minute opener.

Ebrima Jallow grabbed the winner for Titan in the 69th minute of the game to earn his side the trophy.

As champions, Titan went home with a giant trophy and cash prize of D5,000, whilst Ecomog received D4,000 as runners-up.
