Three Youths Arraigned for Theft

Musa Jassey, Fatou Jassey and Aba Njie both recently refused a charge of stealing that contravened section 245 of the criminal code laws of the Gambia.

The three entered a no guilty plea to the charge when arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates' Court before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh.

According to the particulars of the offence the three accused persons sometime in 2005 at Sukuta Village jointly alleged to have stole the sum of six hundred thousand Dalasi and Caspower Jocobsen being the property Amie Jassey.

When the charged was read to them in the Language they understand both accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charge and subsequently the case adjourned to the 25th June 2009 for hearing and the accused were remanded until the adjourned date.
