Fallou Jallow, Alhagie
Ceesay and Ousman Barry were recently arraigned before Magistrate Gomez of the
Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and
assault causing actual bodily harm.
The 2nd and 3rd accused persons pleaded guilty to count one, while the 1st accused denied the charge.
However, all the accused persons pleaded guilty to count two.
The charge sheet in count one read that on 14 December 2014, at Bakoteh in the Kanifing Municipality, they jointly conspired to commit a felony by causing actual bodily harm to one Fallou Amar.
Count 2 stated that they assaulted the said Fallou Amar by stabbing him with a pair of scissors on his neck and stoned him, thereby causing him actual bodily harm.
They were granted bail in the sum of D5,000 with a Gambian surety each and to deposit an ID card.
The case was adjourned to 26 January 2015, for sentencing.
