Threatening violence lands man in court

A man accused of threatening violence and common assault was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.

Momodou Jawo, a resident of Jalanbang Village, denied the charges and was granted court bail of D5,000.

According to the particulars of offence, the accused, Momodou Jawo, on 18 April 2012, at Jalanbang Village, in Komo South District of the West Coast Region, threatened to kill one Samba Jawo by words.

The particulars of offence on count two stated that on the same date and year and at the same village, assaulted the said Samba Jawo by beating him all over his body.

The case was then adjourned till 7 May 2012, for hearing.
