The ground is set for the 2013-2014 summer biggest football final showpiece in Manjai, Banjul and Serrekunda East this weekend, with fascinating and astonishing encounter at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda, Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium and Serrekunda East Mini Stadium respectively.

In Manjai, the 2013 Manjai Kunda BSIC-sponsored knockout final between Marimoo FC of Manjai and Brusubi-based Pak Food, which was called off on Saturday with just ten minutes remaining, is set to be re-played tomorrow, Friday, at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.

With Brusubi Park Food leading 1-0 through Babucarr Jallow inadvertently slid the ball into his own net from Modou Lamin Sillah’s cross in the 56th minute with already 80 minutes played, the committee called for an entire replay of the game.

The officials attributed the decision to call off the game to darkness with the referee unable to continue.

Man City FC will clash with Digi Dambi FC in the league finals of the Sky High Group Banjul Sports Committee on Saturday 23 November at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

The committee, meanwhile, has warned all teams not to enter any dressing room not allocated to them.

“Each team only has the right to enter a dressing room allocated to them and to pour in substances but not to the other team’s dressing room,” the committee warned.

The committee also said: “All teams should know before coming to matches whether they are the A team or B team which automatically determines the dressing room they are to occupy. Any team found wanton will be dealt with as deemed fit by the Committee.”

Meanwhile, there will be a technical meeting today, 21 November 2013, for the League Finalists at the Banjul Mini Stadium at 5pm prompt to discuss and agree on the logistical agreements of the finals, the committee further said, urging all finalists to send only two representatives to the meetings.

At the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Saturday Milan FC will lock horns with nawetan debutants Blue Stars FC in the League Final of the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO).

Milan sailed through to the league final following a goal-to-nil win over Super Cup champions Maccassa FC in the semifinal encounter with Yusupha Bertis own goal separating both sides, to guarantee Milan a place in the final.

Nawetan debutants Blue Stars qualified to the league final thanks to a 1-nil win over Hannover FC in the semifinal encounter played at the East Park.

Skipper Ebou Gaye was the hero for his side scoring the only goal of the game that secured them a place in the final.
